Megan Ritchie-Pastor
Megan Ritchie has been the pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna since June 2001. She enjoys the wide variety of age in our church and finds it amazing that our 200 year old congregation includes a large number of children and youth. Megan delights in hearing stories of faith journeys from others in the congregation and finds herself learning much from both the old and the young. Before serving this church, Megan was a Christian Educator in New Jersey, a missionary in Korea, and a hospital chaplain in Louisville, Kentucky. She was also a pastor in Louisville and an interim pastor in Lebanon, Tennessee. She and her husband, Jeff Ritchie, enjoy hiking, canoeing, and traveling together. They are the proud grandparents of Alex Ryder whom they adore. They also enjoy visits with their son, Andrew, who lives in Louisville and with daughter, Kate, and her husband, Paul, who currently live in Murfreesboro.
